
Ten days before his 21st birthday, David Goldstone lay in a hospital bed near Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, his arms and legs paralyzed by polio, his body gripped by fever and in terrible pain. His hospital admission form read, "Life expectancy: 24 hours."
Six days later, Goldstone emerged from a semicoma and was moved out of isolation into a children's ward; adult polio victims were and still are relatively rare. "You will probably never walk again," the hospital’s chief medical officer told him.
"I will," Goldstone replied.

What an fantastic day for a BBQ - thanks Dani and Don for organising and all those who donated items and their time to undertake this event - we improved on the process and outcome from last time so we will only get better the more we do.

The RCC 2011 Christmas Breakfast was full of fun, surprises and as usual exquisite food.
Commencing at 7am sharp we had a jam packed morning.

With the generous support of the Bendat Family Foundation, the Rotary Club of Crawley (RCC) is pleased to offer an Education Scholarship, estimated to be in the region of $8,000 to $10,000, to one successful applicant every year, to assist with the cost of their chosen course of study or training.
Applications will be invited from participants in the RCC Youth Scholarship Group and others under the age of 30 at the time of applying.
Timeline – For a course of study to commence after January 1st, 2013
